Concert Noise Reduction Ear Plugs

These ear plugs are comfortable to wear and fit nicely. They do a good job of blocking out ambient noise, although you’ll still hear louder sounds coming through.They’re comfortable in the ear and haven’t caused any issues when sleeping with them in, which is a big plus. I’ve been able to wear them through the night without any discomfort.The only downside is the case, which feels a bit cheap and can be slightly difficult to open at times. It stores them okay and makes them portable but I knocked a star off because of the quality.Overall, they’re decent quality ear plugs that do the job well for a fair price.

I would recommend them if you set your expectations that they do let some noise in.Why My Opinion Is Useful.I have ADHD and get over stimulated by my ADHD three year old being excessively noisy. I need to have something that allows me to concentrate on doing a task whilst my child is screaming whilst playing, but at the same time I can hear if my help is needed or they want to ask me something. This is a fine balance to tread.Setup/What You GetThe ear buds come in a carry case, which is useful if you are taking these out and about, to a café, on the plane etc.You also get 4 different size options of ear pieces.Setup is as easy as sliding the different sized ear pieces on to the plastic ear bud frame and checking which one best suits your ears.Performance and FunctionI found the ear buds comfortable and was able to find the most suitable sized ear piece quite easily.I found that they stayed in quite well so long as I was not moving around too much. Generally doing tasks around the house, they didn’t fall out. They are not a super snug fit so I don’t expect they would be great if you were trying to do vigorous exercise in them.They do a good job of blocking out excessive loud noises whilst allowing me to stay aware of my environment – hear my child asking me something, hear the phone ring etc. It just dulls it all down a bit.Build/Design.The product does feel as thought it is made of good quality plastic materials. I have been using for approx. 2 months and they are not showing any signs of wear – just need a clean every now and then.The overall design is quite sleek and modern – definitely looks better than foam ear plugs.Who Is This For?I would recommend this for people like me – who want to lower the background noise whilst trying to concentrate, but do not want to block everything out completely. These are not ear protectors, they don’t offer silence.I would not recommend these for people who are doing vigorous exercise as they are not tight fitting and would likely fall out too frequently.I would not recommend them for anybody seeking total silence or ear protection.I would not recommend them for people to sleep in – the plastic is quite chunky and hard, and lying on a pillow with them in is not so comfortable.Conclusion.I received this as a free item to review on Vine. Would I pay money for it? At the time of writing this, the product is on offer at approx. £12 discounted from £15. I would happily pay £12 for these to aid me in reducing noise whilst I have to concentrate on a task – for £12, yes I would probably be happy to spend money on it still. Why do I think the product has received negative reviews and has been discounted? Because the seller has advertised this as a one size fits all product.Do you need to lower the background noise a bit, maybe at home, in the office, on a plane, in a café etc? Great, buy it. Do you want to sleep in it or expect total silence? Look elsewhere.I give 4 stars because it is a nice product that I cannot fault for my intended purposes, but there is no standout feature compared to similar products so I cannot say 5 stars.
